The Friends of the Music of Halifax Minster

President: Philip Tordoff
Chairman: David Baker

Established towards the end of 1975 by Philip Tordoff, the Friends is for all who love music and wish to promote it in the Minster. The Friends is now managed by a small committee which will have oversight of all recitals and concerts in the Minster as well as fund-raising for the organ and choir.

Organ recitals are given on most Thursdays from 1.00-1.45pm with occasional celebrity recitals on Saturday evenings.  Admission to the lunchtime recitals is free and a collection is taken. Refreshments are available beforehand. Friends receive details of recitals and other musical events in the Minster and a quarterly newsletter.
